I will start from scratch if you mind.. so that other members can sign up too ^^
PLEASE READ ALL THE NOTES I HAVE WRITTEN BEFORE PROCEEDING TO THE STEPS.

go to : http://www.cyworld.com/index.aspx
*note CY works best in IE and so so on Mozilla Firefox
click the oranged text in the main page. It means "register"

after clicking it will lead you to this page:

tick everything... 3 boxes in total...this is the agreement
then press the orange button....

the next step:
they will ask your name, korean id number or the third option which is "FOREIGNER"
fill up the first box with your name.
then tick the 2nd option
then press the orange button

after that, fill up all the necessary information.


NOTE:
1.) validate your email address.. after encoding your email address.. press the GRAY BUTTON and a pop up will appear asking for the CERTIFICATION NUMBER, the certification number will be E-MAILED to you instantly.

2.) Enter it for the NAME it must be in HANGUL...
3.) if you do not have any mobile number and phone number just invent it...
4.) for the NATIONALITY just try to [url="translate.google.com"]Google Translate[/url] it and find your country. (sorry to lazy to write everything)
5.) and also when I registered I didn't upload my valid ID when I was registering because an error keeps on popping out and when i didn't attached it, it made me sign-up successfully weird but it worked.

after that.. a page where in you need to send your valid id

then click the orange button.. you will be redirected to the main page of cyworld.

SENDING THE ID
send it to: cycop1@nate.com
Subject: ID/Password for Cyworld Registration
attach your Student ID/ driver's license, passport picture.. you may scan or take a photo of it
body:
Name: //name on the ID
Date of Registration:
E-mail Address: //used in cy registration

they usually reply within two days.

NAME
Birthday
better use your passport then just remove the passport number etc.

hi...i hope u can help me..
i've already tried different passwords with and without numbers...even exceeding 6 characters...but still a message keeps on popping up...i've been trying to sign up for cyworld(korea) but this problem keeps getting on the way....i already have my i.d. uploaded too..but i still can't proceed because of this "password" thing..

Can anyone help me? Please...it's almost a week now since i've been trying to sort different problems in signing up in cyworld(korea)

remember that the password CY requires must have 4 letters and 2 numbers
for example: suju13, dbsk05 something like that ^^

yeah same here.. they didn't email me the verification number after i entered my email and click on the grey button ):

it will automatically send an email address when you hit the gray button. what is the server of your email address??? i think you must use hotmail/gmail or korean email servers to receive the email. I tried to use my yahoo account but the didn't forwarded any verification number ^^

how to use coupons: go to this link
on the side you will see this:

* 스킨 = Skin
* 메뉴효과 = Menu effects
* 장식고리 = Bangle
* 배너 = Banner
* 마우스효과 = Mouse Effect
* 플래시콘 = Peulraesikon
* 게임 = Games
* 미니미 = Mini-Me
* 미니룸업데이트된 서비스 = Minirumeopdeyiteudoen Services
* 스토리룸 = Seutorirum

this indicates the parts of your minihompy that you can edit. Usually when you are new to Cyworld, you will have 2 coupons. 1 is for your mini me and one if the the room of your mini me.
just click on the button then it will lead you to various choices of design.
*note: you have limited coupons and most of the time it has value, some design have bigger acorns/points, so make sure that your chosen design is equal to the number of acorns/points you have.

when you scroll down you will see this on the left hand side:


"쿠폰" means coupon.. the number beside it indicates how many coupons you have.

the example i will be using is editing the skin/layout ^^
so go to 스킨. choose a design then click it, a pop up window will appear (sample view of the design). If you like it click the right orange button.

after that a new pop up window will appear again asking if you want that skin.
check the box and click the orange button to confirm.


the window will be refreshed, and lead to to this screen. This screen asks if you want to apply your purchased skin.
again press the orange button.


after that, your minihompy will be opened, specifically in the settings.

then your settings will be saved ^^
