Spongy Hide

I've been trying to get some spongy hide for a few days now and killed 12 royal ludroth's and it gives me crests, scales, and quality sponge but no spongy hide.. getting severly annoyed with this now.. is there something i need to bear in mind here? what am i doing wrong? or is it just a freakish run of the odds going against me?
any insight or help would be most welcome

I would say it's a freakish run of bad luck against you. Try NOT breaking its mane and hack up the body more. It should give you some spongy hides.

You are just getting severely unlucky Sad

not much to be done but keep trying, i myself can almost never seem to get quality sponge.

OK Feynt thanks, i'll try not to break his mane this time and see if that works, and Tinithor it's a shame you can't trade carves with each other online, i could have swapped some quality sponge with you..

nope, didn't break his mane just got three scales from the carves and a crest and a scale amongst other stuff from the rewards.. i can see this is just going to take time.. Rolling Eyes

Finally!! just got 2.. and i broke his crest and mane so i guess it doesn't make any difference.. Smile

i thought you could get spongy hide from normal ludroths? you could've just done the "No love for ludroth" quest?

No they give immature sponge and hydro hide, not spongy hide.

Capture the Royal Ludroth, you'll have a much higher chance of getting them in the rewards

Don't be stupid, first look on the wiki, second, breaking his mane gives a chance of quality sponge.

Royal Luds always confuzzle me.
To my knowledge, Quality Sponge could only be a reward, or a dropped shiny from mane breaking.
Yet I have carved it from a Ludroth who's mane was intact. Carved, not a reward.
Anywho, yeah just amazing bad luck it took that long to get a Spongy Hide, i get em' every other Ludy

Places to hide shit?

I just wanna hide some stuff in my room (not gonna say what), but dont know where to put it. Yes, i know that theres a textfile for this, but its not a very good one. Any good ideas?
