Hey everyone!!!! Okay so first of all let me say that ever since my BC a few months ago my hair has been in and out of dry stages and I hated it. I recently heard about someone mentioning the product Hawaiian Silky 14 in 1. So i went into the hair supply store I saw it and read all of the things that it is supposed to do and I was wowed! I did not look at all of the Ingredients because like I said before I'm kinda tired of it and needless to say I purchased it. When I got home I co-washed my hair put a little shea butter and then i spritzed my hair with the Hawaiian Silky. I was sleepy so I went to sleep with my hair wet and when i woke up this morning I was so amazed at how soft my hair was. Finally I think I have a product this is going to work for me.
Here is a list of what its supposed to do:
Moisturizes hair
Strengthens
Defines curls
Softens hair
Adds shine
Soothes dry scalp
Reduces breakage for health braids
Repairs chemical damage
Non-Greasy
No drip
Detangles
Increases body
Thermal protection
So my question to you all is..... Has any of you tried this product and if so how did it work for your hair?

I tried this while transitioning and it was no go for me. I'll revisit once I'm fully natural. I'll double check the ingriedients though. I have full bottle.

Wow!
I cant believe it. Well I guess i sort of can because i have never tried it on relaxed hair. I think you should definitely give it another try when you cut off the relaxed ends. and by the ways your hair looks great in your avatar. I love that color on you. =)

Thanx sweet! lol okay im sure your not gonna wanna hear this but i think that the only thing thats bad is the...............MINERAL OIL. i know i know its a big no no but i tried everything. shea butter alone doesnt soften my hair and neither does coconut oil. I tried to do the conditioner leave in and nothing worked. This product left my hair so soft and it was moisturized all day and. Its wonderful. I dont know what to do but at the moment this is my new fave.

I bought this tonight. It was good for detangling. Hopefully it will give me some decent results.

I'm transitioning and I love the Hawaiian SIlky!. It makes my hair so soft and it smells good. My relaxed hair likes it ok, but my natural curlies in the back love it!

missmoriahiscurly what is your hair type?
8 BlondeByDesire, on 18/03/2010 at 17:19
Water, Clycerin, Propylene Glycol, Mineral Oil, PEG-75 Lanolin, Cetyl Alcohol, Strealknium Chloride Polysobate-60, Triethanoolmaine and others
I have 99% of this stuff left. I won't use it. It has mineral oil in it.

@RoseBud: to be honest with you I have no idea I have really loose curls in the middle front of my head and in the back and then around the edges they are tighter but i dont know. When my hair sheds they are perfect little circles if that says anything.
@BlondebyDesire: I at first didnt even look at stuff that had so called "bad ingredients" but i stopped obsessing over it and use what makes my hair feel good. I wash one a week or every two weeks and my hair does fine.

I use this and love it. I'm not afraid of mineral oil. It was my BFF over the harsh winter weather

I haven't used this product in years. I know that I worked at a salon right off the beach an my blonde/highlighted clients loved this product.

It was ok for me. It's not thick or heavy and that's what I needed. I used it when I first started transitioning. Since it wasn't heavy enough I added it to some shea butter with JBCO and used it as a cream. If I wanted it thinner as a spray I mixed it with half rosewater and half 14in1.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think mineral oil will clog your pores, and tends to weigh down your hair so.....if you don't use it on your scalp and don't have any issues with heaviness/buildup, then you should be fine. I personally can't use most products with mineral oil in it, because they make my hair look and feel really greasy/dirty. But if it works for you and it won't cause health problems then go for it.

I love this for my duaghters' hair. A great detangler. On me, I noticed improved curl definition but I have not used it regularly for fear of build up. Isn't it nice though, to find a product that works for you!

I know I am a little late on this topic, but I love this product. It is one of my staple products! It really defines my curls and it is light weight. I use this everyday and I do not have a problem with build-up. I have used it and not co-washed or anything for a week or so. I do not mind using mineral oil and my hair is growing great.

12HELP!!!
Hi everyone. Is there anyone else out there like this????? I wash my hair and condition it and it looks GREAT!!!!! An hour later my hair has air dried into a non-curled nappy mess. Does anyone have product suggestions to keep the curl?????
The horror continues but in the meanwhile I have no time any more to be in shock.
While Willy is improving slowly, eating again and drinking I am confronted with a new horror: Pina has PMV.
It started on Tuesday evening. She came home, astonishingly
Howzit Guys?
Here's a pic of a tako I caught a couple days ago. We catch em at low tide sometimes when we are lucky, from their holes under big rocks.
They are delicious! I was wondering if anyone else has any tako pics they could post? or if anyone
